Wedding photography
Our wedding photography coverage ranges from approx. $4,000 to $6,000. We have different options for shorter and longer weddings, or whether you need one photographer or two. Also all your images will be individually edited and can be delivered digitally anywhere in the world.

02Couple photoshoots
A couple photoshoot is the perfect excuse to celebrate your engagement or anniversary. Because we don't have the time-constraints of a wedding day; we have the chance to really explore somewhere awesome and make truly epic photographs together. Couple photoshoots range from approx. $900 to $2400 based on hours coverage.
03Family photography
For our in-home family photoshoots, we bring the photo session to you! This allows for natural and candid photos taken in the comfort of your own home (or at a nearby park or beach). All options include digital photos —no hidden costs or fees.

Getting Things Made
All our photography packages include high-resolution digital downloads, and you have full rights to copy, share and print your images as often as you choose. However, we are also huge fans of getting things made. To make this whole process easier; your online gallery comes with built-in access to some of the best labs in this corner of the world.
Travel

We travel and photograph weddings and couples all over New Zealand. During the mid-week, we are based out of our hometown, Wellington —but come the weekend you will find us on the road, anywhere from Queenstown to Paihia. This means depending on where we are, travel costs may be less than you think. When we meet, ask us for our travel schedule and we will be able to give you a quote for your date and location.

I always wanted to invest in our wedding photos and finding a good photographer was so important to me. Our wedding was small & intimate so we only needed one photographer. We had Michele shoot our special day & she was the perfect person for it! Our guests LOVED HER and we received so much cool feedback from them about her and how she was throughout the day - how she made the effort to have conversations with our loved ones, how she made people feel comfortable when having their shots done and she captured the best moments which all meant so much to us!! When I was looking for a photographer, there was something different about Patina that drew me to them and after our first meet via video call - we were sold lol! I am so glad I took my own advice which was to invest in a bomb as photographer no matter the price because those are the memories that will last forever!!! :-)

Have you ever been having a great time with your significant other and hoped someone was there to capture those candid moments? Well, Patina photo did just that! Michelle and Hemi were so easy to get along with and we didn't even realize when and what they were capturing until we got our photos back and they turned out amazing!

Our PWS in Tasmania was everything we wished for, and more! The initial plan was to shoot at Cradle Mountain, but the weather was not on our side on that very day. But fret not! As Mich + Hemi were well prepared with an alternative photoshoot location that turned out to be heaps better logistically (no more 2h hike!) and just as beautiful and picturesque.
Mich + Hemi were so good in directing us/ making us feel comfortable in front of the camera that we forgot that we were even on a photoshoot, but just hanging out with old friends. And of course, when full delivery came the photos were beautiful and timeless and we couldn’t have asked for more.
We are in love with our photos! Michelle and Hemi captured the day perfectly and made us feel so relaxed. Our photo's are spectacular and unique. They combined landscape and documentary style photo's so creatively. Would highly recommend Hemi and Michelle.

Obviously, Michelle and Hemi produce beautiful works of art. You need only to look at their website/Instagram to see that. My husband and I agree that our pictures look more amazing than things actually were on the day.
We also really appreciate how quickly we received the final product! But nothing beats the fact that they made our wedding day so much more enjoyable.
Rain disrupted many plans but because of their smiles, energy and positivity, we could not help but have fun and make the most out of every moment. You simply cannot pick better photographers to shadow and support you on your big day.

Michelle and Hemi are gorgeous people, which was obvious from the first time we met them (sharing delicious kumara chips at a bar and chatting about how we met and why we were getting married).
They were terrific at recommending locations, timing, outfits - everything!
And on the day Michelle kept in close contact to make sure we didn't get lost on the way to Mākara, kept us cheerful despite the brisk breeze, and somehow managed to make us feel un-self-conscious in front of the camera.
Our photos came back even faster than I'd expected and are an utterly perfect record of the way my fiance and I feel each other right now.

Do you do Wedding Videos?

01Do you travel?
Yes, all over the North and South Islands of New Zealand and the East Coast of Australia. Please get in touch for other locations.
02How many photos do we get?
We typically deliver between 600–800 images from a full-day wedding, each one graded and edited in our unique style.
03How long until we see our photos?
We deliver a preview within two weeks of the wedding, and complete set within 10 weeks.
04Do you use photoshop?
We individually correct white balance and exposure for each image before applying a colour grade in our unique style. Photoshop work (adding/removing elements and similar levels of image manipulation) is not our standard practice —if this is something you think you might need, we can provide a quote; however it is generally not required for most people. Almost all the images shown on this site are examples of our standard level of editing.
05What gear do you shoot with?
We shoot with Fujifilm mirrorless cameras and lenses.
06How do we pay you? What types of payments do you accept?
You can pay via bank transfer or with a credit card. All our wedding collections have three payments; the first is due on booking; the second, 6 months before the wedding; and third, 1 month before the wedding.
07How do we book you?
We like to meet all our couples before booking —after all, you definitely want a photographer that gets you! We then gather the booking details and set you up with your own client dashboard. From your dashboard, you can sign the contract and make the first payment to secure your date.
