Ayumi + Yoshi
Yoshi proposed to Ayumi one evening in Hillside Kitchen, just like in the movies, except there was no crowd clapping or cheering, because Yoshi proposed in Japanese. It was their joyous moment inside their own little bubble.
I feel like this story, that they told me when we first meet, summed them up perfectly. Ayumi + Yoshi are shy and gentle, but they have big hearts. It also why Boomrock was the perfect venue for their wedding, not only for the coastline (in their enquiry they said “Boomrock offers a glimpse of NZ's natural beauty, and we want to share that with our guests, especially our family travelling from overseas”), but also because the secluded location is a little bubble of it’s own - just like in the restaurant - but this time they could invite the people they most cared about.
