There’s something beautiful about simple genuine love, and following your heart.
Porcelain and Jamie flew across the world all the way from Nebraska with just fifteen of their closest people and had a low key relaxed elopement in Flaxmill Bay, Coromandel. They told us of their many adventures together; so it only felt fitting to them to have a travel theme for their wedding.
Jamie grew up in Coromandel. His family owned many acres of land (most of it in native New Zealand bush) and the most incredible 'kiwi bach' with its wooden interior, tons of charm and childhood memories. He gave us a tour of his families' land and we loved getting to know them in this place that they held so dear.
Their wedding - much like them - was relaxed, thoughtful, meaningful and fun: A cute little marquee was put up on the lawn of their favourite cafe. Their friends and family all pitched in with the reception setup, and there was a lot of laughter and excitement in the air.
The wedding ceremony was held at Shakespeare Cliff Reserve, under a giant Pohutukawa tree. This spot had stunning vistas of Flaxmill Bay, but all eyes were on them. They shared very personal and meaningful vows, along with the story of their journey so far, and finished with the promise to be by each other’s sides forever... there wasn't a dry eye in sight.
The afternoon was spent, playing with their guests in the summer sun, before going on an adventure together for the photos at sunset.
We loved being a part of this incredible celebration; rich with laughter, fun and simple genuine love. We hope you love it too.
