"I knew James was the one, when I found out he hated raisins and was good with chop sticks." - Jess
They say you can tell a lot about people by the company they keep and these two had oodles of lovely helpful, generous people, making things here, there and everywhere. Pretty amazing to see everyone get involved.
Jess and James had vision: right from the outset they knew they wanted their wedding to feel like everyone was part of a big family; the proof was everywhere in every detail; From the co-cooks (the bride's brother and the groom's brother teamed up to put on a feast) to the knitted llama toppers for the cakes baked by a sister from each side. Photobooth, self-service cocktail bar, seat-cards and signage custom designed by Jess' lovely sister, and especially the 3 huge long tables that ran the full length of the hall. All these things created the 'big family' feel they were hoping for at their reception.
But even then these guys didn't sit back, in one of the most beautiful things we have seen - the whole bridal party got up and served the guests - before themselves - even the groom got involved! And it was this act, that I think summed up this wedding for me. A wedding full of love, personality, selflessness and good times.
